My god..... I'm such an old man around here

*wonders how old SamIam is lol*

Well I've been drawing longer than I can remember (I got old scribbles of things I never remembered drawing from when I was about 2 years old) and I am now....... 24

I would have started drawing comics/manga when I was in grade 5 so about 11 years old (which was when I started buying comics).

The oldest comic/manga I have that's still around in good condition was done in '92 and I drew it for 3 years and it went for over 350 pages and as usual for a beginner, the main story was nowhere to be found until about page 250.

If you search around fanarts, some people posted up their od stuff before but mine were a little small and hard to see.

So if anyone is interested in seeing old stuff, let me know and I'll post some of it up

I've drawn every once in a blue moon (I've never considered myself good enough to keep working at it.), but no manga to this point.

And Aurelia - If that's 'crap,' then it's very nice-looking crap I do have a couple of C&C (if you don't mind): her eyes appear a little too far apart, and it looks like she has no left arm. Other than that, I like it (especially the style).

Aurelia: kumikane ressurected the thread, not you, and it's ok ^_^.

Guess I'm at moderate age with my age being 17 . I've been drawing manga since I'm 15, but only ocassionally something pops out, it's actually being rivaled by other hobbies .

Sometimes, out of nowhere, I just have this drawing frenzy

Sometime in middle school, I think...that was the first time I was ever subjected to anime...someone had brought in some Dragonball Z trading cards and I thought it was the coolest damn thing....I started drawing a lot of DBZ then...I didn't know about other anime at the time.

I've always drawn comic book stuff and things like that, about 4 or 5 years ago, I got into 3D modelling, which I still do to this day....right now I'm 22, so I've been drawing for a long while.

I've been drawing ever since i was little too, but as for manga, i started late 98, when i was 15 or so... but my god my pics were pretty bad back then! The first I heard about manga or anime was from another girl who used to draw them, but being from a aussie country town, i had basically no exposure to anime. There was stuff like sailormoon, robotech, and samurai pizza cats (!) on tv in the mornings sometimes, but i had no idea they were anime-style; they were just cartoons like the rest of them. So for a few months or so I went on drawing without any real references to anything but sailormoon, a nintendo mag, and my friend's drawings. Then we got internet. I discovered evangelion, and through it coaxed my brother over to the dark side (heh heh) and he never ripped me off about anime again.

Back to the point, I've been drawing for almost four years now, i turned 18 in june. I had a period of about a year where i drew basically nothing, and when i started up again my drawings got worse before they got better. But i think my drawing has improved pretty quickly in the past few months, and i've come up with a few ideas for manga of my own. I've never had any ideas to do one before, it's great! Long term goals, good stuff. I don't have many of those though, and i'm in year 12, that's a bad thing, isn't it... :

But I must say though looking at Auriela's art just now (very nicecly detailed I might add) and remembering art from the others here in this thread, you younger members are doing very very well for your age though and I can assure you you that in a couple of years time you'll advance even further

*starts sweating heh*

Um... yeah, really nice stuff *goes to practice more before he gets over taken*
