An artistic interlude before I color the seraph....

Yeah, so I'd started on this already when I showed you guys the inked Seraph I plan to color (and am coloring even as I post this). It's my roommate and friend, Anki-chan, as a catgirl (you've seen Anki-neko pictures by me before, I'm sure). I rather like the sort of painterly look that ended up on the dark blue outer shirt. ::shrug:: Side-effects from coloring with the airbrush, I guess. And I must restate, Dodge and Burn are two of my best friends now. ^_^

Technical: mechanical pencil on printer paper, PSP7 and a mouse.

^_^ It's really nice, but the head still seems too large for a non-chibi.

Sankyuu. ^_^ Yeah, the head is a bit big. ::snerk:: part of it is the head itself, and part of it is the Fruits Basket-sized eyes I used. Ah, well. The sketch itself is actually about 4 months or so older than the colored version. I'm a very lazy bum. ^_^;;; And I'm still working on getting hands right.

It's good.

---C&C:

I'll skip rementioning the hand and the head; you already know about those two. They're like the plague to artists. Anyway. I think the pose looks awkward, at least when it looks static like it does here: Would you stand like that when you're not planning to move on quick?

Hm...yeah, I thought that too, but I did draw the pose before adding the poofy pants.... ::shrug:: It's Anki-chan. She's a contortionist, right Shadowbard? ~_^

Hai hai, I be a contortionist, or something like that. I get into weird positions, anyway...and not like that, all you hentai people out there! *snerk*

Anywho, I like the coloring job you did, and I like the colors you chose. Blue is very soothing, although I've been going through this weird red phase lately....

This is a bit off-topic, but I just noticed your new avatar, Yasei Chi. At first I thought it was someone driving a car with a very large steering wheel... and then I realized what I saw wasn't a steering wheel but a sword. ^^;;

::looks at avatar again, then chuckles:: Yeah, it kinda' does look like it could be somebody driving a car.... ::giggles:: Though chibi-Sessh is very much underage.

Weird red phase, Shadowbard? ::shrugs:: I've been going through a cream-brown one, though that might be because that's (what I'm aiming to be) the theme colors for my new art layout.
