Another new drawing(now with finished colored version!)

sorry again about the weird dark area the scanning makes, im not sure if this one turned out as well as some of my earlier drawings but hopefully i can fix that when i color it

as always comments and critiques are welcome (and helpfull for future drawings)

The tallest girl is, err, quite well endowed (maybe too much so?), and the arm that goes behind her head looks a little off (the hand itself looks okay, just the arm).

I continue to like your kawaii style, however I'm baffled by the scanning problem you have. What's happening exactly, are you drawing these on two seperate sheets of paper (which creates the dark line in the scan when you put them together), or is it a problem with your scanner? I'm sure there's a way to fix that, just have to figure out what it is....

Keep up the good work, I look forward to the colored version.

well i have to scan the drawing in 2 parts since i use fairly large paper and the dark area is where the 2 parts go together (was originally a single drawing 14 x 17 paper i belive)

**just checked its actully 11x14 still bigger then the scanner itself tho**

Ah, that problem. I have to do that with my manga pages because the paper is slightly too large for the scanner.

Here's what you do to fix that:
- Scan the top half
- Scan the bottom half
- Scan the middle for overlap purposes
- Make sure you get the paper as flat against the scanner as you can, to reduce shadows
- In the program you use to put the pieces together, crop the pieces so that the shadows are not there anymore, and then put them together. This is why you scan the middle for overlapping, to be sure you get it all.

On the art style, I'd have to agree with Yui_Reborn. Some of the girls you draw must have constant back pains. I'd recommend toning down the bust size some, and maybe drawing the shirts so that they're not so tightly accentuating the figure, unless that's the look you're going for. It's rather unrealistic (unless you're Pamela Anderson) otherwise.

In all, though, it's looking rather good. I assume you're going to color this one too?

i think the chest size may at least be partially intentonal on the tall girl (she's about 6 feet tall so her frame can handle the extra weight ^_^) i try not to go overboard on my other characters tho

i had never thought of scanning it in 3 parts insted of 2 before ill definitly have to try that on my next drawing

and ill definitly color it as soon as i stop being lazy and get around to it (i have to retrace all the lines in paintshop pro using a mouse so its a bit of a strain)

keep the comments and critiques comming^_^

Nice coloring job. ^_^ You seem to have all your shadows and highlights in the right places, and I rather like your method of adding highlights and light halos to the hair. ^_^

As an almost-6-foot-tall girl myself, I can pretty much guarantee you that a chest that size, proportionally, would still cause some back pains. ::shrug:: Not that I haven't seen girls with chests that big before.... Out of curiosity, are you a guy or a girl?

From the pic my guess is a guy, but who knows.
I really like the pic, hehe
And any guy that has a chest like that basically on his head is lucky.
The colored version defenatley is a ton better, but thats prolly cause the other is hard to see.

well his head is more against her stomach only his hair is sticking up and making contact with her chest ^^

oh would anyone like me to post the pre colored traced version in case they want to try to color it themselves?

hmm your probably right about the chest size being too big yasei chi ^_^;; ( i always thought of it as being one of that characters traits but it does probably look odd)

Yeah, even though he didn't actually answer me, I'd have to guess that too.

::shrug:: It can be one of that character's traits if you want it to be, but I'd recommend toning down bust size on at least half of the girls you draw. ::shrug:: Make it so they look like they don't have balloons stuffed up their shirts.

Keep up the good work, though. ^_^
