Bored at school..

Here's a handful of sketches I did at school. As usual quality varies a lot and some were made in process too complicated to explain.

Scary eh?

One of my infamous, crappy storyboard sketches from my neverending "I want to try manga" project.

That's about it. I still cant draw characters with somewhat good body proportions and interesting looks. Criticize and comment as much as I like.

Endurance, the only thing you really need is more practice. Your drawings have a very expressive style (especially your attempt at manga! I like the faces), and that's something a lot of people struggle for no matter how long they've been drawing. If you keep at it, you will gain the technical skill needed to match the quality of your ideas.

If you want to start learning about how to draw comics, let me suggest something that proved useful for me: when I was in middle school and high school, I started drawing comics on looseleaf paper in my notebooks. I called them "notebook sagas", and I mainly worked on them during lunch or free periods (no, i never worked on them during boring classes! Noooo...heheheh). I didn't worry about "quality" and just threw in whatever characters I wanted: comic characters, game characters, anime characters, etc.

These were REALLY BAD comics, but the great thing about them was I think I made a lot of mistakes that I learned from, and now I don't have to make them in my current comic. Not to mention, they were fun ^^.
Best of luck, keep posting your stuff!

What she said... and...

I wish I could plan and draw such simple yet expressive storyboards like you do.
