No really biggie if you ask me. I know that I, as well as plenty of other people, never really used the title KoHD anyway, it was simply "The Cowboy Bebop Movie". =P

Dude, 'The Cowboy Bebop Movie'? Why couldn't they have kept KoHD? It's only a subtitle to 'Cowboy Bebop' anyways...

i knew this was coming, they blurred out "knockin on heaven's door" on the metropolis dvd trailer. as erik said, we really didnt use KoHD, most of the time, we're like "hey, i saw the bebop movie!"

Its just easier to say, we make abreviations for everything but its not just about that IMO. I really dont like when they change titles for american releases (unless they are straight up japanese words) Its just part of the whole bundle, and KoHD is a sweet name that goes along with the overall feel of Bebop. Its a shame to see it changed, although i wouldnt start a petition or anything....

Maybe they couldnt get rights from Bob Dylan *jerk off motion*

that actually is the main reason why they changed it (or so i heard), you know how it is in america where you cant do anything without a license...bob dylam probably wont let them use the title unless his song was in there somewhere.

and i have just been told that the name change will only apply theaters only

I remeber there was a song called Knocking on Heavens Door, I just can't remember the artist... Perhaps that's the cause? Bob Dylan! That's it!

But what you gonna do in the face of the Record corperations? Who screwed us out of things like Napster....

Hrm. Sorta pointless, unless there really are copyright issues.

I never referred to the movie as KoHD to my friends. The screaming purist in me is fuming, but it doesn't change anything. The fact that the movie is coming out in the first place is enough to shut that guy up.

LoL. they screwed themselves out of sales. It's been proven that Napster = Higher Album Sales (maybe less singles, but they were ---- in the first place), No Napster = lower sales.

Angry

That really damn sucks. That's why American releases ---- me off. They change the name to such a dumb name - with the anime name then colon then "The Movie". It just makes the movie and anime sound corny and nonprofessional. Knockin' on Heaven's Door is such a beautiful and wonderful name. I have no idea why they wanna change it. What a pity....tsk tsk.....

"Akira: The Movie".

Ten bucks says that's the title of the live-action one.
